Inventory Lead

Job Summary

Inventory Lead is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility, including monitoring cycle count program, return to stock and product flow.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity; maintain all inventory controls for the site
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and protocols pertaining to inventory control
  • Lead for reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and making necessary corrections
  • Responsible for overseeing physical inventories, cycle counts and audits
  • Check, verify completeness and process all warehouse transfers to and from production
  • Documenting and controlling aging inventory
  • Maintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for management
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy
  • Regularly training site staff in proper inventory control techniques and practices
  • Lead process improvement efforts for the inventory and warehouse teams
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment performing inventory duties
  • Forklift Certification preferred, certification will be done onsite as well
  • Knowledge of inventory practices and principals
  • Skill in performing data entry and navigating Enterprise Resource Planning tools
  • Skill in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word; SharePoint is a plus
  • Ability to use and maintain inventory database/records
  • Ability to effectively lead a team to meet goals and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
